As a manufacturing company with over 60 years of machining experience, Mate understands there is no typical day or workholding set-up. We know that every part is unique and that somebody must tailor every workholding set-up to the specific part. Yet we also understand that building custom, bespoke workholding or fixtures for each part results in unnecessary operations, long set-up times and, ultimately, high costs. We developed Mate workholding with this in mind, so our workholding solution is more than just a vise, base or mount. It’s a true modular workholding solution with quick-change and zero-point features to reduce set-up time, eliminate waste and save costs.

All Mate workholding product line components can be quickly changed to allow you to configure a workholding set-up that works for each of your products without long changeover times or unnecessary operations. Mate DynoLock bases will enable you to change between different top tools, including DynoGrip vises, ER collet chucks and top pallets in seconds while maintaining 0.0002″ (0.005mm) repeatability. Many Mate DynoMount products can also be mounted to the DynoLock bases to provide further quick-change options for your workholding set-up.

Mate DynoGrip vises are compatible with all Mate jaw options. With the Mate tool-less quick change jaw system, you can change between standard jaws, machinable soft jaws and machinable hard jaws as quickly as you can load parts.

Truly Modular Workholding Must Work with Multiple Systems

Mate is compatible with other workholding manufacturers’ products as well. We understand that many customers already have workholding set up in their machine tools, so we made our modular workholding compatible with many other systems. The Mate DynoGrip vise is the only vise available off the shelf that is compatible with the industry standard 52mm or 96mm pull stud patterns and the 40mm pin systems such as Big Daishowa Unilock, Schunk VeroS, and SMW Autoblok.
