Mate Raises Over $2,300 for Haven for Heroes!

Haven for Heroes is an Anoka, Minn., based non-profit substance- and alcohol-free boarding and lodging facility that provides recovery and transitional housing to service members and veterans. Founded in December 2018, Haven for Heroes’ mission is to provide a place of safety and refuge for veterans and their family members who may need assistance.
In 2019, an anonymous donor pledged to match any donations up to $375,000. To date, this amount has not been matched. Wanting to help its neighbor succeed, Mate Precision Technologies conducted Change for Change, a company-wide challenge during the last two weeks of May 2022. Promoted by Mate’s Wellness Committee, the program encouraged all employees to make monetary donations during this period. Mate pledged to match donations made during the challenge up to $1,500.
With the results tallied, employees raised $1,156.33 during the Change for Change program, which Mate matched. The total donation from Mate and its employees was $2,312.66! Mate’s Wellness Committee members officially presented the check to Haven for Heroes in early July.
